"I've been told that my identity as a fat, black, Haitian-American woman was not something to celebrate. However, the community I found within the Chesterton House saw me before they saw my body, and encouraged me to celebrate the parts of myself I found shameful. With their encouragement, I am becoming someone who knows they are loved by God and therefore has a voice that serves a purpose, serves others, and rightfully belongs in this community."
