Alejna is part of the inaugural class of Kessler Presidential Scholars, a program supporting first-generation college students at Cornell.

Being a Kessler Presidential Scholar means that I am given the opportunity to further indulge in all of the opportunities that I am given in college. This program provides me with a helping hand to navigate college and make sure that I make the most of my time here. It also creates a sense of community as I am able to interact with people who are sharing similar experiences, and we can help each other grow and achieve our goals.
