Move-In Instructions for Cascadilla Hall, Sheldon Court, and Schuyler House

Please read this entire message for detailed move-in instructions, and review everything carefully so you can finalize your travel plans for a successful arrival. You must arrive at the timeslot you selected and follow our move-in instructions below to make the move-in process as efficient and smooth as possible. Please do not arrive early.  

Arrival Timeslots ----Your 30 minutes is just for your arrival time, not unloading.

To ensure a safe and efficient move-in experience, all students are required to schedule a move-in/arrival timeslot via our housing portal by July 24, 2024. Students may select a timeslot according to what is available based on your building assignment. For more information regarding your scheduled building day, please visit the Move-in Schedule page. Please note that your move-in/arrival timeslot that you select is when you actually need to arrive to your designated check-in location. You'll have plenty of time to unload after the check-in time, so don't worry. Your 30 minutes is just for your arrival time, not unloading.

MOVE-IN AND ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS  

Arrival Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 23: 8 am – 7 pm, and Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, 10 am – 4 pm 

Proceed directly to the Williams Street lot (Corner of Williams Street and Stewart Avenue) where your car will be queued for move-in and/or key pick-up.  

Once released from the queue: 

Cascadilla Hall and Sheldon Court residents will proceed to Cascadilla Hall to temporarily unload, check in, and pick up your keys/ID (if applicable). You (and guests) will be responsible for unloading and moving your belongings to your room. Please have your printed Dash Pass on your dashboard (with a cell phone number).  

Once unloading is complete, the driver will be asked to return the vehicle to the upper Williams Street lot.

Schuyler House residents will proceed to Cascadilla Hall to park temporarily to check in and pick up your keys/ID (if applicable). You will then proceed to Schuyler House to unload and move in.  

Arrival Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 23 after 7 pm; and Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25   after 4pm  

Note, we advise to arrive and check in before the service desk closes at 7 pm on Monday - Friday or at 4pm on Saturday - Sunday. If that is not possible, please follow the instructions below.  

If you arrive after the Cascadilla Hall Service Center is closed, you will need to call the number located on the main door of your assigned hall for assistance with checking in.  The staff member on call will assist you in accessing your room so that you may unload your belongings. You will not receive your keys and/or student ID at this time. Please know that you (and your guests) will be responsible for unloading and moving your belongings to your room. Please have your Dash Pass on your dashboard (with a cell phone number). You will be able to temporarily unload in the areas listed below.  Once unloading is complete, the driver will be asked to return to the upper lot of the Williams Street lot to park.

To obtain your keys and student ID, you will need to do the following:

  • Proceed to the Cascadilla Service Center to obtain your keys/ID and officially check in the following morning 

Unloading areas:  

Residents of Cascadilla Hall  

  • Paid City of Ithaca Garage just to the south of Cascadilla Hall   
  • Paid parking spaces along Dryden Road
  • Williams Street Lot upper lot at the corner of Williams Street and Stewart Avenue

Residents of Sheldon Court  

  • Limited parking spots are available in the Sheldon Court loading dock
  • Paid parking spaces along Dryden Road
  • Paid City of Ithaca Garage just to the south of Cascadilla Hall   
  • Williams Street Lot upper lot at the corner of Williams Street and Stewart Avenue. 

Residents of Schuyler House 

  • Proceed directly to Schuyler House. You (and your guests) will be responsible for unloading and moving your belongings to your room. Please have your Dash Pass on your dashboard (with a cell phone number).   
  • Once unloading is complete, the driver will be asked to move the vehicle to the spaces furthest from the door in the building parking lot. No overnight parking please.
