Move-In Instructions for West Campus

These instructions apply to...

The instructions below apply to the following West Campus residences:   

Please read this entire message for detailed move-in instructions, and review everything carefully so you can finalize your travel plans for a successful arrival. It is to your advantage to arrive when directed and follow our move-in instructions precisely. 

Before you Arrive

Move-In Instructions by Arrival Date and Time  

Tuesday, August 18

Arrival between 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  

Arrival Location: University Avenue Parking Lot (627 University Ave) 

  • Arrive on campus and proceed directly to the University Ave Lot where your vehicle will be queued for Move-In. Please have your Move-In Ticket on your dashboard with a cell phone number. 
  • Once checked in, you’ll be guided to your building’s unloading zone.  
  • When you arrive at your designated unloading zone, you will sign out a bin or bins and unload your vehicle. We will provide assistance to unload your vehicle, but please know that you and your guests will be responsible for moving your belongings to your room. 
  • You will check-in at your House Office, and pick up your keys/ID (if applicable). 
  • Once your vehicle is unloaded, follow directions to your 3-hour short-term parking. Information about your designated parking can be found on the printable Move-In Ticket in the Housing and Dining Portal after August 1.  
  • Students with a paid parking permit will be able to park temporarily in the Anna Comstock lot and/or in the University Ave lot until Sunday 8/23 when West Campus parking re-opens. 
     

Arrival after Timeslot Hours and when House Offices are Closed 

Arrival Location: Your West Campus House Lobby 

On Tuesday, your House Office will be able to help you check-in and get your key/ID, but there will not be any assistance with unloading your car or getting belongings to your room. 

If House Offices are closed when you arrive, you will need to call the Graduate Residence Fellow (GRF) on-call number located on your West Campus House main doors for assistance with checking-in. 

  • You will be able to temporarily park to unload in the areas listed below.   
  • The GRF on call will assist you with obtaining your keys/ID (if applicable).  
  • Please know that you (and guests) will be responsible for unloading and moving your belongings to your room. Please have your Move-in Ticket on your dashboard with a cell phone number.  

Unloading locations:  

Along West Avenue: 

  • Across from Baker Tower: parking spaces designated as loading zones 
  • Across from Founders & Lyon: the pull-off loading zone on the Slope side 

Near Bethe & Keeton: 

  • Mary Ann Wood Drive (just behind William Keeton House): parking spaces designated as loading zones 
  • Forest Park Lane (just behind Noyes Community Recreation Center): parking spaces designated as loading zones 

Stewart Ave  

  • Paid parking spaces along road, free after 6pm and on Sundays 

 

 

Friday, August 21- Saturday, August 22

 Arrival between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

Arrival Location: University Avenue Parking Lot (627 University Ave) 

  • Arrive on campus and proceed directly to the University Ave Lot where your vehicle will be queued for Move-In. Please have your Move-In Ticket on your dashboard with a cell phone number. 
  • Once checked in, you’ll be guided to your building’s unloading zone.

Not arriving by vehicle?

Arriving by Uber/Taxi: Please plan to arrive at University Avenue Lot at your designated timeslot and proceed with check-in.   

Arriving by Bus: Students who are arriving by bus directly to West Campus or the Robert Purcell Community Center should proceed to their assigned House Office for check-in.
