Latino Living Center (LLC)

Anna Comstock Hall is home to the Latino Living Center (LLC) Program House, a close-knit residential community where students come together around a shared interest in Latinx/a/o culture, history, traditions, and contemporary issues. Located on North Campus across from Risley Residential College and a short walk from the Robert Purcell Community Center, students experience a sense of belonging that comes from living in a community rooted in shared identity, cultural exploration, and mutual support.

Founded in 1994, the Latino Living Center welcomes students from all backgrounds and experiences who share an appreciation for the values often associated with Latinx/a/o cultures, including respect for individuals, dedication to education, commitment to community, and the importance of family. Residents help shape the community through participation in traditions and events, fostering meaningful connections while encouraging students to learn from one another and contribute their own perspectives and talents.

Through its rich history, strong traditions, and commitment to cultural understanding and community building, Anna Comstock Hall and the Latino Living Center provide a welcoming home where students can celebrate heritage, explore identity, build lifelong connections, and contribute to a vibrant residential experience at Cornell.

More About Anna Comstock Hall

The hall honors Anna Botsford Comstock '78, a pioneering educator, artist, and naturalist who became the first woman at Cornell to hold professorial rank. Named in her honor in 1940, the residence hall reflects her enduring legacy of learning, discovery, and inclusion.

As a Program House, the LLC offers students the opportunity to live with others who share common interests and experiences while exploring culture, identity, advocacy, and community engagement. Upon arrival, residents are greeted with the message "Bienvenidos a Su Casa" ("Welcome to Your Home"), reflecting the center's longstanding tradition of creating a warm, supportive, and familial environment. For many students, the LLC becomes much more than a residence hall. For many students, the LLC becomes much more than a residence hall. It becomes a place where friendships flourish, identities are celebrated, and community is built through shared experiences.

As part of Cornell's broader North Campus residential experience, the LLC offers students the best of both worlds: a large, dynamic campus community and a smaller, purpose-driven living environment where they can explore new perspectives, develop lifelong friendships, and find a place to belong.

LLC has several Faculty and Community Fellows that provide students with opportunities to explore and cultivate their academic, intellectual, and cultural interests. You will find them attending events in your building, dining with students, and leading on and off campus trips to lectures, plays, films, concerts, and regional points of interest.

How to Apply

Rising junior and rising senior students may select to live in a program house as part of the fall Housing Selection process while rising sophomores can select during their General Room Selection process in the spring. New students can indicate their preference to live in a program house on their New Student Housing Application.
