660 Stewart Avenue

660 Stewart Avenue

660 Stewart is one of the university's cooperative residences, a collaborative and independent community governed by its student residents.

The house is the second-largest out of the eight cooperatives. Located in a beautiful 1902 estate, just below West Campus, it is surrounded by a spacious lawn and has panoramic views of Cayuga Lake and Ithaca. Our house's large bedrooms and common areas host an intentional community of over twenty residents from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicities, countries, and identities. We value diversity, community and inclusion, horizontal governance, and personal responsibility. Housemates are responsible for house duties and participation in meetings. Dining Options

The house runs a carefully planned meal plan with five nights a week of nutritious, ethically sourced meals. Participating in the meal plan is optional although strongly encouraged, and it involves cooking for one night a week.

Aside from that, there is a mandatory food staples program, which along with dinner leftovers and some occasional personal groceries, is enough to fulfill dining needs for all residents. Staples include baking supplies, basic cooking ingredients, and occasional fresh produce and fruit.

Residents may also choose to purchase a Cornell Dining meal plan and eat at the adjacent West Campus Houses.
