For 2026-2027 Housing

Housing Selection for Rising Juniors and Rising Seniors

The 2026-2027 Housing Selection process for rising juniors and rising seniors takes place in Fall 2025. Options include Same Area and Open Room Selection.

Housing Selection for Rising Sophomores

The 2026-27 Rising Sophomore Room Selection will occur in Spring 2026. General Spring Housing Selection for Rising Sophomores is when students receive a timeslot to reserve a room in an upper-level residence hall or house.

On-campus housing guarantees

All first- and second-year undergraduate students who are studying full-time on the Ithaca campus are required to live on campus, or in affiliated housing that has been approved to fulfill the residential requirement, through the spring semester of their second academic year of enrollment.

Juniors and seniors are not guaranteed on-campus housing. Rising juniors and seniors who would like to live on campus for the 2026-2027 academic year are strongly encouraged to apply to and participate in their fall selection process.

Students who are on leave, but subject to the residential requirement, are encouraged to complete a General Room Selection application to ensure they are able to fulfill the residential requirement upon return.

Cooperative Houses

University-owned Cooperative Houses manage their own occupancy. Students interested in Cooperative Houses should reach out to individual houses to inquire about vacancies and learn more about co-op living. An open house, called Co-op Mosey, will be held on February 22, 2026 for residency during the 2026-2027 academic year. Read about Cooperative Housing.

Program Houses

All students who wish to live in a Program House will have an opportunity to select an assignment in those communities during their respective Housing Selection Process.

The following buildings will be available to select during this process:
