Triphammer Cooperative
150 Triphammer Road
Triphammer Cooperative is one of the university’s cooperative residences, a collaborative and independent community governed by its student residents.
Triphammer is more than just a house, it’s a community—one that values diversity and is a welcoming environment for students from marginalized backgrounds. Located on North Campus with easy access to bus stops, Triphammer has a uniquely warm and inviting atmosphere.
Through our weekly cook groups and chores, we take care of our house together and maintain the spirit of cooperative living. House members are expected to participate in governing through monthly meetings. Within the house, there are also elected officers who hold more designated roles such as treasurer, food steward, liaison, chore manager, etc.
Applying
Triphammer participates in the mosey process, which is the unified application process for many on-campus co-ops! As one of the most affordable housing options for Cornell students, we encourage all students to apply.
Mosey for fall and spring residency typically starts in early February and early November, respectively.
Beginning with an open house, we host several laid-back, fun events so potential applicants can get a feel for the house and ask any questions they may have before applying. Applicants for Triphammer are required to attend two of these events and also required to participate in one cook group. After completing these, applicants fill out a short form to be entered into our housing lottery.
