Your Security Deposit

You can anticipate that your full security/damage deposit will be returned if the apartment is on a clean and satisfactory condition after you vacate the premises. Charges for cleaning services will be deducted from your security deposit. If any item is dirty, damaged, or missing and must be replaced, the Tenant(s) may be charged with the full replacement cost. The Tenant(s) may also incur a charge for removal of abandoned personal items from the apartment or the apartment building. It is also important to take pictures when moving in and moving out. 

Tips for Moving Out 

Please check with your current landlord/property manager for specific requirements per the condition of your lease. Take pictures of the apartment and keep for your records.

Also consider doign the following:

  • Two weeks prior to departure
    • Confirm Move Out Date & Time with Landlord/Property Manager
    • Schedule Final Inspection Landlord/Property Manager
    • Review Lease for conditions for moving out
    • Change Address with Post Office
  •  One week prior to departure
    • Call to schedule disconnection of services (if you pay for these services). This could include electric, gas, phone/internet, cable, and garbage service.
  •  Clean your apartment
  • Provide a forwarding address
