Outdoor Odyssey and PE Programs New Hires

Congratulations on being hired!  Once you have officially received an offer of employment from a Cornell Outdoor Education representative, please complete the steps below.

STEP 1 - (Odyssey and PE Staff) CONTACT INFORMATION: Fill out the New Hire Information Form

COE Programs uses a list serve to communicate with the staff. After you enter your information, you should start to see messages about staff training, important dates, events and opportunities. (Only full time staff post to this list.) Also, even though this is the start of your COE career, we're already thinking about after you graduate. COE has 40 years worth of alumni all over the country. We do our best to facilitate communication between this ever-growing community of adventurers.

STEP 2 - (PE Staff and Odyssey Staff who want to Teach PE Classes) CHOOSING YOUR COURSE: Fill out the Spring Dream Sheet

COE uses an on-line resource to collect information about what courses you'd like to teach. The on-line "Dreamsheet," as we call it, will provide you with a list of all the courses COE offers. Indicate what classes you are interested / able to teach next semester. If you are not sure of our class schedule, just make your best guess. A guess is better than no information at all! There is also a text box for special considerations you'd like to send our way. The compiled information is forwarded to the program coordinators. They assemble the teaching teams for next semester. If you are an Odyssey Guide and wish to additionally teach classes, then super! Fill out the form and contact the appropriate coordinator.
