Jordan Velte
Applied Economics and Management: 2027
I am Jordan Velte, a current freshman in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Originally from Germany, I was dual-enrolled at the University of Hamburg alongside my high school studies and collaborated with the Technical University of Munich in behavioral economics. This project focused on analyzing the efficiency of cap-and-trade carbon emission trading systems and modeled micro-trading climate clubs on a local scale. Currently, I am a Research Assistant for Professor Lawrence Jin at the SC Johnson College of Business, working on a project in behavioral finance. This project aims at identifying and analyzing biases exhibited by various AI platforms. Moreover, it investigates the broad implications of these AI biases on human behavior and economic activities. In my free time, I like to read and play the piano with my friends. jv462@cornell.edu
