Karlah Culver, CALS 2026
Karlah is a senior from the Bronx, NY majoring in Biology & Society with a minor in Health Equity, studying in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences on the pre-medicine track. On campus, Karlah is committed to her job as Student Manager for Cornell Catering & Concessions. She also serves as the Co-President of Weill Ithaca Network and President/Raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. She is currently raising Hula, a Golden Labrador Retriever in training. Carlos Apreza, Arts and Sciences 2026
Carlos is a senior from Staten Island, NY. As a first-generation college student, he is passionate about corporate finance, legislative politics, and nonprofit service in underserved communities. Carlos is majoring in Government in the College of Arts and Sciences and pursuing minors in American Studies and Business through the Dyson School. Driven by a commitment to equity and impact, he is focused on bridging public policy and business to uplift marginalized communities. Katharine Turk, Arts and Sciences 2027
Katharine is a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences studying Biological Sciences and Environment & Sustainability. Her hometown is Pensacola, Florida. She works in the Performing & Media Arts Department's scene shop and for Cornell Dining. She's also on the editorial board of The Cornell Daily Sun. Outside of work and academics, Katharine loves traveling, trying new things, and meeting new people. Find her in the audience of any theatre production on campus or diving into a book near a gorge. Esther Yoon, Arts and Sciences 2027
Esther is a junior from Bellevue, WA, studying psychology with a minor in Spanish. You can find her working at the front desk of Olin Library, volunteering as a Diversity Admissions Ambassador, or studying for her next prelim at the Cocktail Lounge. During her leisure time, Esther likes to picnic with friends on the slope, watch the sunset, eat spicy Korean noodles with her friends, and plan family trips all over the world. Karina Jagdeo, Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management 2027
Karina is a junior from Brooklyn, NY in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Minoring in real estate, Karina aims to build a career in the commercial sector and eventually shape the future of affordable housing. She now mentors first-generation, low-income students through the KKR Accelerator Program, supporting their growth through career development and community-building. She also works within her project team, Hack4Impact on external relations. In her free time, Karina loves playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and doom-scrolling on Tiktok. Deborah Olorunda, CALS 2028
Deborah is a sophomore from Northern Virginia studying landscape architecture in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In addition to her role on the SAC, she is on the executive board for the Cornell Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and works at the Landscape Architecture Makerspace. Gabby Lenzmeier, CALS 2028
Gabby is a sophomore from Minneapolis, Minnesota, studying Agricultural Economics and Global Development. On campus, she serves as the Vice President of Programming for the Cornell Panhellenic Council, an analyst for the Cornell Global Business Club, a writer for the Cornell Business Review, and a consultant for the Cornell Marketing Club. Outside of academics, Gabby enjoys Irish Dancing (and coaching little dancers), volunteering at Cornell hockey games, going thrifting with friends, and hopping on a plane to explore somewhere new. Owen Jones, Human Development 2028
Owen is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He studies Health Care Policy in the Brooks School of Public Policy and is completing the Dyson Business Minor. He is passionate about the intersection of healthcare, leadership, and community service. On campus, Owen is involved in Cayuga Healthcare Consulting and Big Red Hearts, and he is the Vice President of his fraternity. Elena Centeno, Arts and Sciences 2027
Elena is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Sociology with minors in Business, Law & Society, and Human Development. She serves as Executive Director of Development at Student Agencies Inc., where she supports the corporation’s strategic growth and new venture development. In the community, Elena mentors a 14-year-old Ithaca High School student through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She hopes to pursue a career in operations and compliance, focusing on organizational efficiency and optimization. In her free time she enjoys playing basketball and spending time with loved ones. Beau is a junior from Hurley, NY, majoring in Government in the College of Arts & Sciences. He is passionate about education and plans to become a teacher after graduating. You can find him working at Fresh Marche in Collegetown, helping students at the Microeconomics Support Center, teaching and organizing with Splash! at Cornell, or climbing with friends at Lindseth.
