Disc Golf

Disc golf is the perfect excuse to spend more time outside while pretending you totally meant to throw the disc that way. At first, it seems simple—just toss a Disc into a basket—but after a few throws you realize there’s a surprising amount of skill involved. Suddenly you’re learning about different throwing styles, angles, and how the wind can completely change the path of your shot. The best part is that every round feels like a mix of friendly competition, exploration, and a little bit of adventure as you make your way through the course.
What makes learning disc golf so fun is how quickly you can improve while still laughing at the wild throws along the way. One hole you feel like a pro as the disc glides perfectly toward the basket, and the next it’s sailing into the trees. But that’s all part of the game. With each round you start to figure out your style, celebrate the great shots, and shrug off the not-so-great ones—all while enjoying the outdoors and the laid-back vibe that makes frisbee golf such a blast.

How to dress and what to bring to class
Dressing for frisbee golf in the summer is all about staying cool, comfortable, and ready to move. Lightweight athletic clothing works best since you’ll be walking the course and throwing frequently. A breathable T-shirt or moisture-wicking athletic shirt paired with athletic shorts or lightweight pants is ideal. Since courses often run through grassy areas and woods, many players prefer shorts that allow movement but still offer some protection from brush. Comfortable athletic shoes or trail shoes are important too—you’ll be walking quite a bit and sometimes on uneven terrain.
Sun protection is also key when you’re out on the course for a few hours. A hat or cap helps keep the sun out of your eyes while you line up throws, and sunglasses can make it easier to track the disc in bright light. Bringing sunscreen and possibly a small towel for sweat can make the round much more comfortable. The goal is simple: wear something breathable, flexible, and durable so you can focus on having fun and improving your throws.
