Cornell University has teamed up with a local food bank to gather and distribute meals for families facing food insecurity as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

As Ramadan begins the evening of Thursday, April 23rd, we'd like to share with you the resources available to students, staff, and faculty on campus who are observing this month of fasting.

Cornell partners with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and the Greater Ithaca Activities Center to collect and distribute much-needed meals for food-insecure families.

Cornell Dining is making special Mini Meal Plans available so students remaining on campus or in Ithaca can take advantage of our eateries to enjoy a healthy meal between virtual classes or pick up snacks.

Cornell Dining announced this week that Risley Dining now operates a 100% gluten-free, tree-nut-free, and peanut-free kitchen. The eatery has recently received a gluten-free facility certification from Kitchens with Confidence.

Cornell Dining is pleased to announce that the Cornell Dairy Plant is the first University dairy plant in the nation to offer kosher ice cream! The Cornell Dairy Bar in Stocking Hall has now been set up to serve kosher dairy products. In addition to Cornell's own ice cream, all of the toppings served along with the ice cream at the Cornell Dairy Bar are now kosher.

Cornell Dining is pleased to announce that celebrity Chef Jet Tila will return to campus in April to participate as emcee of the much-anticipated "Cornell Dining Cutthroat" competition. Chef Tila also visited Cornell in 2014 for two days of demonstrations and training with the dining staff.
