Updated Cornell Dining meal plans: Please reapply

We're looking forward to welcoming you back to campus for the 2020-2021 academic year, and we want to make sure you're aware of the plans for coming to campus at the beginning of the semester.

Cornell Dining has been working tirelessly this summer to ensure as safe as possible a dining environment for students, staff, and faculty on campus this fall. Takeout options will be available for all meals, carefully spaced seating can be reserved for those who wish to dine in our residential dining rooms, and our staff is adopting additional cleaning and sanitation protocols this fall in collaboration with Cornell's Environment, Health & Safety team and adhering to state and county health department guidelines.

You originally signed up for a meal plan for 2020-2021. Recently, we adjusted the academic year dining contract period and rates to align with the adjusted academic calendar. The new 2020-2021 contract dates for fall semester begin with brunch on Sunday August 23, 2020 through dinner on Sunday November 29, 2020.

More information can be found on the meal plan pages at dining.cornell.edu.

Spring semester dining will begin with lunch on Monday, February 1, 2021 and end with dinner on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Students who are approved to stay on campus after November 29 will be able to apply for dining for the extended fall period and winter period in the coming weeks.

If you applied prior to July 24, we have discarded your meal plan, including the meal swipes you may have donated to the Swipe Out Hunger program. Please reapply for your dining meal plan and indicate that you agree to the updated rates and terms and conditions. In order for charges to appear on your bursar bill of August 7, you should reapply by close of business August 5. Please note that you can apply for a meal plan at any time.

If you don't agree to the terms and conditions, or your fall plans have changed for any other reason and you wish to terminate your dining meal plan for the academic year, you don’t need to do anything.

If you have any questions or concerns about the Terms and Conditions or about the process, please email dining@cornell.edu.
