Primary Councils at Cornell
There are four primary student funding councils at Cornell. Each student organization at Cornell is placed into a primary council that will be able to receive funding and resources.
A primary funding board byline organization (composed of students partnering with a university advisor) serves as a primary funding source and governing body for a specific category of student organizations. Your funding source funds only expenses related to the organization's purpose as specified in its yearly registration. The funding source partners with Campus Activities in determining specific requirements to enable the organizations to function on campus.
Student Activities Funding Commission (SAFC)
SAFC is the liaison between the primary body of student organizations, Campus Activities, and the University. The SAFC allocates funds to nearly 900 undergraduate student organizations. Our mission is to support undergraduate organizations in their ability to foster community and belonging at Cornell through funding opportunities.

Club Sports Council (CSC)
The Club Sports Council is the liaison between club sports teams on campus, Campus Activities, and the university. CSC supports around 100+ Sports Clubs. They work to support finding facilities, oversee funding for Club Sports, and overall provide resources for club sports teams while promoting the presence of club sports on campus.

The Cornell Interfaith Council seeks to promote interfaith dialogue and support spiritual life on campus, encouraging shared understanding and celebrating our differences.

Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Finance Commission (GPSAFC)
GPSAFC is the funding branch of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA). You may have noticed an activity fee if you are a graduate or professional student. The Appropriations Committee (AC) helps decide the fee and whether to give money directly to organizations such as the Cornell Cinema. We at the Finance Commission (FC) handle budget requests from student-run organizations and manage funding tiers. (When you submit a budget through CampusGroups, there are actual humans- us- looking at it!) Because of this student-run system, your activity fee gets used for fun, inclusive events. For quick tips on earning money from the GPSAFC, please see our quick-start guide; for more detailed information, check out our guidelines.
