Discover the The Tatkon Center for New Students
Learn more about how we help fast-track your knowledge of campus!
The Tatkon Center for New Students as an office provides new students with the foundation they need to thrive at Cornell. Through intentional collaboration with university and college partners, we strive to support students as they create community, develop a sense of belonging, and transition to life at Cornell. We empower new students to explore their diverse identities and encourage them to take ownership of their college journey.
Visit us in our Hub, located on North Campus in a suite of first-floor rooms in the Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC), 101, 103, and 105. Our Hub is open Sunday through Thursday 3-11pm when classes are in session. Staffed by friendly, caring upper-level students, known as Tatkon Peer Leaders (TPLs), that eager to share their knowledge and experience, and take advantage of the dozens of programs throughout the year designed to help you explore your academic and career path, connect with other students, de-stress, and make your first year the best it can be.
