Rev. Taylor D. Daynes

Reverend Taylor Daynes began her position as Episcopal Chaplain to Cornell University in August of 2018. She’s also a published poet, and brings her passion for all forms of creative expression to her work with the Episcopal Church at Cornell (ECC). Before her priestly ordination, Taylor served as deacon at St. Paul’s in Rochester, NY, and as Community Engagement Coordinator at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore, MD. She was also an instructor in the Creative Writing department at Johns Hopkins University, and worked with several other community arts and social justice organizations. She continues to serve HOPE Baltimore in an advisory capacity. She studied Anglican Theology at the University of Toronto, holds a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from Johns Hopkins, an MA in religion from Yale Divinity School, and a BA in English from Vanderbilt University.
