📦 Service Update: Mail and Package Operations

Processing Delay Notice:
Due to an exceptionally high volume of incoming mail and packages, the mailroom is currently three days behind in processing. We appreciate your patience as we work to catch up.

Temporary Location Change:
To better manage the volume, Mail and Package Services have been temporarily relocated to the 3rd Floor of Robert Purcell Community Center. Please visit this location for package pickup until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Hours of Operation

Fall Semester Hours

Monday - Friday: 8 am - 7 pm
Saturday: 11 am - 7 pm
Sunday: 12 pm - 7 pm

When a parcel is processed at the Service Center, you will receive an email from 'Student Mail Services' with the subject of 'You've got mail! Envelope at North Campus Service Center.'  If you haven't received this email, it means the Service Center has not yet received or processed the parcel.  If you have any questions, please get in touch with the Service Center at scl-student-srv@mail.scl.cornell.edu

TIP: Always put your NetID in your mailing address.  Your NetID is the key piece of information that we use to process your mail and packages; not including it could result in slower processing times or a possible return to sender.
  • Service Centers will only accept packages that are 50 pounds or less.
  • If sending fresh food that will spoil, write ‘Perishable’ in large letters on the parcel close to the address label. As the Service Center does not have refrigeration, perishable items must be picked up on the same day they are received; otherwise, they will be discarded.
  • Please note that the Service Center does not have refrigeration and is not a designated drop-off location for perishable food items or local deliveries. This includes services such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Instacart, Walmart, and Target.
    • Vendor deliveries of this nature are placed on the red shelves outside the second-floor entrance of Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC). Students should plan to retrieve their items directly from that location.
  • Service Center will only hold packages for seven (7) days after they are processed and return parcels to the sender on the eighth (8) day.
Sending Medication: We advise sending student medication to the Cornell Health pharmacy. You can mail your refrigerated (or other) prescription to the pharmacy. Once received, the student will be notified and can pick up their medication. Please direct those packages to the following address:
