These engaging conversations will be conducted live, allowing you to interact directly with experts and gain invaluable insights. Can't make it to the live session? No worries! Recordings will be accessible within a week of each discussion, ensuring that you can catch up and stay informed at your convenience.

July 29 | 2026 Family Weekend Overview | Recording

Family Weekend is an opportunity to spend time with your student, experience campus, and connect with the Cornell community. This Cornell Family Conversation will help you prepare with an overview of registration and schedule highlights, as well as important information about parking and dining. You’ll also receive practical guidance for planning your visit, building an itinerary that works for your family, and knowing what to expect throughout the weekend—so you can spend less time focused on logistics and more time enjoying Cornell with your student.

Get to know the community Cornell students call home. In this Cornell Family Conversation, Visit Ithaca will introduce families to Ithaca and the surrounding Tompkins County area, with ideas for local activities, places to explore, and dining throughout the region. The session will help you look beyond campus, become more familiar with the broader community, and discover new experiences to enjoy during your next visit or throughout your student’s time at Cornell.
