Join us for a Cornell Family Conversation focused on second-year housing. As students begin planning for their sophomore year, many families have questions about housing options, timelines, and how decisions are made. During this session, staff from Housing & Residential Life will walk through the second-year housing process, share what students should expect, and offer guidance on how families can best support their student.

February 24 | Making Connections Now: Alumni Engagement and Career Resources for Students | REGISTER

Join us for a Cornell Family Conversation focused on alumni engagement, networking, and career-connected opportunities available to students now and beyond graduation. This session will highlight how current students can begin building relationships with alumni while still enrolled at Cornell, explore mentorship and networking opportunities, and take advantage of programs designed to support career exploration and professional growth. Staff will share how these early connections can support students’ goals and create a foundation for lifelong engagement with the Cornell community. Families will leave with a clearer understanding of how to encourage their students to engage with alumni resources throughout their Cornell journey.

March 20 | Supporting Student Well-Being: Helping Your Student Flourish at Cornell | REGISTER

College is a time of growth and change, and many students experience stress or anxiety along the way. These challenges can coexist with learning, success, and well-being. In this Cornell Family Conversation, staff from the Skorton Center for Health Initiatives will share how Cornell supports student well-being and how students can move beyond simply “getting through” to flourishing. Families will learn about common stress patterns, strategies students use to build resilience and self-compassion, and when and how to encourage connection to campus resources—while reinforcing independence and healthy help-seeking.
