Dr. Marla Love serves as the Robert W. and Elizabeth C. Staley Dean of Students within the Division of Student and Campus Life (SCL). As part of SCL's broad vision of creating transformation through co-curricular programs and services, the Dean of Students provides vision and leadership for Student Support & Advocacy Services, the Diversity Cultural Centers and Student Empowerment areas, and Student Conduct and Community Standards.

Greta Kenney

Senior Associate Dean of Students for Student Support and Advocacy Services

Greta Kenney serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Students for Student Support and Advocacy Services. In her role, she provides strategic leadership for the Student Support and Advocacy Services’ team, which aims to support students in distress with a goal towards overall well-being and empowerment. She also serves as chair for the University’s Behavior Intervention Team (CARE Team). In her previous Cornell role, Greta served as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Women’s Resource Center.

Shura Gat

Associate Dean of Students & Director of the Gender Equity Resource Center

Shura Gat (she/her) is an Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Gender Equity Center at Cornell. She earned her B.A. in Women's Studies from Wellesley College and her M.A. in Critical Cultural Studies with a concentration in Women in Sports from the University of Iowa. She has prior student affairs experience in Student Disability Services and Campus Activities at Cornell.

Joel Harter

Associate Dean of Students and Director of Office of Spirituality and Meaning-Making and Cornell United Religious Work

Joel Harter (he/him) is the Director of the Office of Spirituality and Meaning-Making (OSMM) and convenes the multifaith team of affiliated chaplains and spiritual leaders who form Cornell United Religious Work (CURW). Joel is a progressive Christian, a welcoming and LGBTQ+ affirming American Baptist, and a certified teacher with the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults.
