Fresh food with a Mediterranean flair at the new Martha's Cafe

Now open in the beautifully renovated Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, Martha's Café offers delicious breakfasts and lunches made to order, as well as coffee, tea, and pastries ready to grab any time.

Martha's is built with a mission of sustainability in mind. Our new plant-forward menu, featuring responsibly sourced meats and fish where possible, including whole muscle meats without additives, as well as lots of fresh vegetables, lets you craft your meal exactly as you'd like it. We serve our meals in real bowls and plates when you're staying to enjoy your meal on-site, and we offer reusable cutlery sets and reusable drinking straws for sale at Martha's. Our coffee is from Ithaca's own Copper Horse Coffee Roasters, milk and yogurt comes from the Cornell Dairy, some of our produce is sourced from the Finger Lakes region when seasonally available, and most of our single-serving beverage offerings skip the plastic in favor of glass bottles and aluminum cans that are more recyclable.

Choose from one of our Composed Bowls, designed by Chef Chloe Greenhalgh: the Red Lentil Penne Bowl, with Moroccan spiced pork, ratatouille Provençal, charred red pepper sauce, and more; Oven Baked Falafel with field greens, crunchy cuke salsa, charred red peppers, and lemon tahini dressing; Roasted Lamb Kofta with Martha Van power greens, whole grain rice and quinoa blend, pickled red onion, and fresh herbs.

Or build your own bowl from any of our foundation blends, such as field greens, Martha Van power greens, or roasted roots; one of our grains or legumes; a roasted item and three Top It items; any of our proteins, such as citrus & herb fire grilled chicken or jackfruit stew; and a dressing, crunchy items, and more.

At breakfast time, beginning February 5th, enjoy a Sous Vide Egg Shakshuka with red pepper sauce, Buttermilk Waffles served with Cornell maple syrup or berry blend compote, Multigrain Sweet Potato Porridge, or an Egg and Naan Sandwich.
