Jay Sobers is an undergraduate at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Jay is pursuing an Environment and Sustainability major and two minors in Animal Science and Marine Biology. She has been a Girl Scout since elementary school and always loved the camping trips. Being from Northern New Jersey, Jay had the opportunity to go out into nature, it was an experience that she had to go out and seek. These opportunities were not always handed to her, so making wilderness education more accessible to certain communities is something that she is passionate about. Jay believes educating people about the environment and the ecosystems we are a part of is something that has high value. Jay loves watching people fall in love with nature and the world around them. She hopes that more people find out about this program and consider going outside their comfort zone and exploring!
