Elder Bruce Ladle- LDSSA Spiritual Advisor
Elder Ladle was born in Idaho and was involved in numerous sports throughout his growing up years. At the age of 19 he served a 2-year mission in Tokyo Japan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He went to Brigham Young University (BYU) and obtained degrees in Therapeutic Recreation and Education. He worked as a recreational therapist for a few years and then returned to BYU and obtain his PhD in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. He worked in the field of neuropsychology for 33 years at major hospitals in Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Utah and Ohio. He retired from clinical practice in 11/2021.
In addition to his full-time work, he also had the opportunity to serve in numerous church service opportunities. He served as a Bishop for a large congregation in Ohio for 5 years. He also served as an administrative/spiritual leader in the Cincinnati area advising 9 different congregations for 12 years. He had the wonderful opportunity to teach early morning youth seminary daily for 4 years. He has had great experiences working with individuals who are seeking to come to know Jesus Christ better.
He married Sister Ladle in 1985. They have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys wood working.He looks forward to the opportunity to be a spiritual adviser for the LDSSA organization at Cornell, to work with the LDS students here on campus and to get to know the other chaplains here at the university better.
