Assistant Vice President for Career and Professional Development
Dr. Erica Kryst, PhD as the Assistant Vice President for Career and Professional Development. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she provides strategic leadership for the Cornell Career Network which shapes career education, employer engagement, and initiatives that prepare students for professional growth and lifelong career success. Erica also oversees the newly formed Office of National Fellowships, which promotes fellowship opportunities to all students, provides application support and advising, and facilitates university endorsement of applicants. Previously, Erica worked in career development at Binghamton University and The Pennsylvania State University, and has taught numerous courses on professional development, internships, and career exploration. Erica earned her Ph.D. in Educational Theory and Policy from The Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on the experiences and career aspirations of college students from rural communities.
