Cornell University

Calby Fellows Program

The Calby Fellows Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the career paths of alumni, engaging in career exploration and gaining advice. Alumni Fellows are selected from a wide variety of career fields, particularly those who may have an unusual or interesting career trajectory which is not necessarily “connected” to their undergraduate academic major.

This program is named in honor of our first CCS Executive Fellow-in-Residence: Doug Calby ’81, former chair of the Cornell University Council’s Committee on Career Services. In his role as our first Fellow, Doug made it his personal mission to come to campus frequently for one-on-one meetings with students, sharing advice and mentoring with hundreds of students as he worked to advance their individual career and life goals. Doug will be remembered for his intellect, integrity, honesty, loyalty, and humor.

If you would like to participate or learn more about the program, e-mail career@cornell.edu.
