Volunteering

Volunteering can be beneficial in many ways plus you get the fulfillment of knowing that you are giving back to your community in a meaningful way. What you may not realize is that you are also developing valuable career-related skills. It can boost your resume or job search.

Cornell's Public Service Center (PSC) is a great resource for getting involved in volunteering.

  • Participate in a service trip through Alternative Breaks.
  • Check out the wide variety of other PSC programs that take place on- and off-campus. You can work with kids or the elderly, in healthcare or foreign languages, and on issues like hunger or sustainability. The opportunities are endless!

Check out this comprehensive Guide to Volunteering for College Students which covers the importance of volunteering, 11 benefits of volunteering, and tips for finding opportunities.
