Shannon Musgrove
Associate Director for Student Empowerment, First-Generation & Low-Income Student Support
Shannon (she/her) brings more than 13 years of dedication to higher education and a passion for supporting trailblazing first-generation college students and those navigating college from limited-income households. Shannon has a rich background crafting impactful student experiences and innovative programmatic approaches with experience at Bloomsburg University, Mansfield University, Susquehanna and now Cornell University. Committed to changing lives, nurturing dreams, and empowering students, Shannon earned a Bachelor's in Mass Communications and Journalism Studies at Clarion University and graduated with her Master's in Instructional Technology and Design. Additionally, Shannon is a certified Raja Yoga Teacher, Certified Mindfulness Instructor, and a dedicated advocate for mental health - enhancing her commitment to innovative education practices.
As a member of the FGLI Student Empowerment team, Shannon will support the Kessler Scholars Program and will be the primary lead for Kessler Scholars student programming.
