Campus Walking Tour

Join Tatkon staff members and classmates to discover iconic spots and hidden gems on campus. Get to know the Cornell landscape on foot. You’re invited to share your selfies made along the route: follow us on Instagram @cornelltatkon and direct message photos to us (or email to tatkoncenter@cornell.edu) by September 1.  Open to all first years and transfers and to those on campus for the first time or any Class of 2024 member as well as Class of 2025. International Student Speed Friending

Come make friends. Calling all international students and domestic students eager to connect with those from across the globe. Everyone’s invited. Spend three to five minutes chatting with a classmate: What is something especially distinctive or beautiful about your country? How did you spend your play time as a child? If you could learn a new skill, what would it be? What’s your favorite childhood memory? What are you most thankful for? How would you spend your ideal day? What detail of life in the US are you most curious about? Describe yourself using one word. What are your hidden talents? Followed by a campus walking tour where you can continue the conversations. If you haven’t used the TCAT before, this will be a great opportunity to get familiar with it. At the market, it will be self-exploration, and you are welcome to head back with us around 1:30pm or stick around on your own.

Interested in applying for a job, internship, or club? Need guidance on how to write or tailor your resume? Meet with Arts & Sciences Student Career Advisors (SCA) for a 30-minute resume workshop at 5:30pm followed by individual 15-minute, in-person drop-in resume reviews from 6-7:30pm.
During the workshop session, you’ll learn how to build and format your resume and get general tips on what works best. Then, an SCA will work with you to improve your resume’s formatting, role descriptions, and much more through an individual 1:1 appointment.

The Tatkon Center hosts photos from the Class of 2025
Email us three of your favorite photos from this semester. Selections will be featured on the TV screens in the Tatkon Center and RPCC, as well as on the Tatkon Instagram. Submit your photos through this form by December 3. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a delivery of Insomnia Cookies during study week. Three students will be chosen to receive this prize. Send us your best shots!
