Rabbi Ari Weiss
Rabbi Ari Weiss is a Jewish educator and social entrepreneur. He has led multiple initiatives that engage Jewish emerging adults and connect them to Jewish values and community. Currently the Executive Director of Cornell Hillel, Ari leads a team of educators that engage the 2,500 Jewish students at Cornell in meaningful Jewish life. In service to the university, Ari has served on the Presidential Task Force focusing on Campus Climate. He received the Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award in 2019 from Hillel International in recognition of his leadership of Cornell Hillel. He is currently a Wexner Field Fellow. Before coming to Cornell, Ari served as the Senior Director of Jewish Education at Birthright NEXT where his work focused on training Jewish professionals on best practices in engaging the 350,000+ Birthright alumni in North America. Ari also served as the Executive Director of Uri L’Tzedek, an Orthodox social justice organization, from 2008-2013. During his tenure, Slingshot Guide selected Uri L’Tzedek as one of the 50 most innovative organizations in the country for five consecutive years. Ari was selected by the Jewish Week as “36 under 36” young Jewish visionaries who are re-imagining Jewish life in 2012 and as a Joshua Venture Fellow from 2010-2012.Ari received his B.A. from Yeshiva College and his Rabbinic Ordination from YCT Rabbinical School.
