Q-Week: Virtual Events While You Quarantine!

Join us for Q-Weeks!

Cornell Q-Weeks: Virtual events while you quarantine. January 22 through February 7.

What are "Q-Weeks"?

Q-Weeks started in August 2020 out of a desire to provide students in quarantine fun ways to connect with others while learning more about different orgs on campus.

We are bringing back Q-Weeks this spring and are currently looking for student orgs to host events! This is a great opportunity to showcase your orgs before the semester even begins!

Let's continue to work as a community to create safe and fun memories for our fellow Cornellians!

Q-Weeks, Spring 2021

Our "Q-Weeks: Virtual Events While You Quarantine!" will be from January 23 to February 7, 2021. A calendar of events will be sent to all students mid-January!

Student organizations: help us kick the semester off in a fun way!

? What kind of events we are looking for

  • Social events (ideas: trivia, speed-friending, game night – Among Us, anyone??)

  • Workshops (ideas: teach a dance routine, have a paint night)
  • Educational/Panel Discussions (ideas: share student experiences, discussion on a topic relevant to your org)
  • Have another idea? We are happy to hear them!
  • Note: your event should *not* be just for recruitment. You can absolutely plug your org and leave room at the end of people are interested – but only events and activities open to all will be approved for Q-Week.

Benefits of hosting an event in Q-Week

  • A fun way to get your org together again after a month-long Zoom break ?

  • Additional advertisement support for your event + org
  • An opportunity to get the word out about what your org does! Next semester is unique in that Cornell will have both brand new first-year and transfer students, as well as many students who were studying away and are coming to campus.
  • You’re helping out your peers who may be looking for something to do while in quarantine before the semester starts!

❗ How to have your organization submit events

  • Your event(s) must be posted on the CampusGroups events calendar with the “1- Q-Weeks” event tag; Campus Activities will then approve each event

  • Click here to learn how to add events in CampusGroups (you must be a listed officer on your CG org page)
  • Submit your event(s) to the calendar by Sunday 1/17 11:59pm EST
