Kevin Perry

Since 2022, Kevin has served as the Jack and Rilla Neafsy Director of the Tatkon Center for New Students. Bringing over a decade of experience in higher education and student affairs, with an expertise in first-year experience and orientation. Kevin serves as a resource for student, families and campus partners to help ease the transition of new students to Cornell. Prior to Cornell, Kevin served as the inaugural Associate Director of New Student and Transition Programs at Ithaca College, where he led the transition of their New Student Orientation from several summer sessions to a single fall session. Kevin is an active member of the NODA (Association for Orientation, Transition, & Retention) professional organization, including serving on the Board of Directors and currently as NODA Treasurer. He attended The State University of New York, Brockport where he earned a B.A. in English and Political Science, and went on to earn an M. Ed in Higher Education Administration from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. 

When not working, Kevin likes to spend his time with his fiancé and their dog Toby. He enjoys cooking and whenever possible, spending his time outdoors; camping, kayaking, and can often be seen biking the Ithaca waterfront trail. Kevin is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and faculty and providing strategic direction in aligning the first-year and orientation programming under the Tatkon Center for New Students.
