Cornell will be eligible to participate in the competition in Fall 2023. Each school may participate only once every three years.
Periodically Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, Brown, Haverford, Middlebury, Amherst, Bowdoin, Swarthmore, Wesleyan, and Yale Universities are invited to submit two nominations each to the Keasbey Scholarship competition. One award will be granted. The award provides support for two years of graduate work at one of four British Universities: Oxford, Cambridge, or University of Edinburgh.

Late October-Early November
An official campus endorsement committee reviews applications and selects up to two applicants to be endorsed to the foundation. Applicants are notified of endorsement decisions by the fellowship coordinator.

Deadline: FINAL SUBMISSION of endorsed applicants' materials to the Fellowship Coordinator. See Application Process.
November 16
Foundation deadline for receipt of application material.

Interviews of Cornell's endorsed applicants in Philadelphia; selection announced shortly thereafter.
Eligibility
Unmarried U.S. citizens with an exceptional academic and extracurricular record who are members of the graduating class may apply.
Selection Criteria
Cornell endorsement is required. Application materials are due to the Fellowship Coordinator in October of the application year. The Cornell Keasbey Scholarship Endorsement Committee will review the applications. No more than two applicants may be endorsed to represent Cornell to the Keasbey Foundation. Students’ applications must be processed and endorsed through the CCS fellowships office to be eligible for the competition at the regional and/or national level. Endorsement decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Please contact the Fellowship Coordinator for the exact date. All endorsed applicants will be interviewed by the Keasbey Foundation in December.
Application Materials
An official transcript.
A curriculum vitae (or resume, with elaboration), should be no longer than two pages.
A typewritten personal statement summarizing the areas of the applicant's major academic interest and the course of study proposed to be taken in Great Britain. This will require some research on the part of the nominee and, preferably, prior discussion with faculty members who have had some experience with educational institutions in Great Britain so that the proposed course of study abroad will have a relationship to what the nominee has done as an undergraduate and to the nominee's career objectives.
Three letters of recommendation from faculty members with whom the applicant has worked closely saying, in substance, that the candidate is believed to be capable of academic work which should result in the nominee's obtaining a good Honours degree in his or her field of interest.

Seniors and First-Year Alumni applications must be processed and endorsed through the CCS fellowships office to be eligible for the competition. Endorsement decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
