Overview

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship supports one to three years of post-baccalaureate study in any field at the University of Cambridge. Students must apply for admission as a postgraduate student to the University of Cambridge and a Gates Cambridge Scholarship at the same time, with one application form, via the Graduate Admissions Office. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, potential for scholarly development, and a commitment to use the benefits of their education for the common good. Citizens from any country other than the UK are eligible.

Read carefully the Gates Cambridge Scholarship website for more information and to apply.

Application Deadlines

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Citizens: Applications for 2023-2024 are closed.  2024-2025 applications will open in September of 2023. Deadline for submission is Mid-October.  Interviews (short list) are held in late December and finalist interviews are held in late January.

*Non-U.S. Citizens should check the Graduate Studies Prospectus to see if the course to which they are applying has a deadline before the December deadline.
