Family Weekend Registration
Register for Family Weekend and start building your Cornell experience.
Registration for Family Weekend 2026 will open on Monday, August 3, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
We can’t wait to welcome Cornell families to campus for Family Weekend, September 25–27, 2026. Family Weekend is a time to connect with Cornell, celebrate your student, and experience campus together.
Before registration opens, we encourage you to review the Schedule Overview and Plan Your Visit page. The schedule will help you decide which events you would like to attend, and the planning page includes helpful information about check-in, lodging, transportation, dining, and parking.
Registration will close on Sunday, September 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
How Registration Works
Family Weekend registration is required for each family member or guest attending Family Weekend.
Current Cornell students do not pay a registration fee. Students are included in their family’s registration, and their information will be collected during the registration process.
Children under five do not pay a registration fee, but must be included in your registration.
Youth ages 5–13 receive a reduced registration rate.
Anyone under 18 must attend with a registered parent, family member, or guardian.

What Registration Includes
Family Weekend registration includes access to most Family Weekend events, including educational sessions, workshops, open houses, receptions, and other community programs.
Registered guests will receive Family Weekend materials, Cornell Family souvenir items, and a Family Weekend name badge at check-in. A Family Weekend name badge is required for most events.
Please note:
- All registration fees and add-on event tickets are non-refundable.
- Events are generally first-come, first-served.
- Some events may sell out or reach capacity quickly.
- Add-on event tickets are only sold online before Family Weekend.
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email and an email with your tickets, including tickets for any add-on events. Please keep a copy for your records. You can also add your tickets to your Apple or Google Wallet.
Add-On Event Tickets
Some Family Weekend experiences require a separate ticket in addition to Family Weekend registration. These events are optional and allow families to build a weekend that fits their interests, schedule, and budget.
If your student plans to attend an add-on event with you, please review the student ticket information carefully. Some events require a separate ticket for students, while others do not.

The Statler Hotel cannot assist with questions about Dinner at the Statler or Sunday Family Brunch at the Statler. These events are separate from reservations at Taverna Banfi, located in the hotel.
Separately Ticketed Campus Events
Some athletic, performance, and entertainment events use separate ticketing and may not require Family Weekend registration.

Tickets for athletic, performance, and entertainment events are non-refundable.
Family Weekend Merchandise
Show your Big Red pride and commemorate Family Weekend with Cornell Family merchandise. T-shirts, tumblers, and blankets are available for advance purchase through the Family Weekend registration form.
Orders must be placed by Sunday, August 23. All merchandise will be available for pickup at the Family Weekend Welcome Center. Items will not be available for sale onsite during Family Weekend, so be sure to order in advance.

After You Register
After registering, review your confirmation email and ticket email carefully. Your tickets will include any add-on events you selected during registration.
When you arrive on campus, please check in at the Family Weekend Welcome Center to receive your Family Weekend materials and name badges. Check-in details are available on the Plan Your Visit page.
