Elizabeth Kennedy
Associate Dean of Students & Director of the Gender Equity Resource Center
Elizabeth Kennedy (she/her), serves, since April 2026, as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Gender Equity Resource Center; part of the Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging. Elizabeth excitedly brings 15 years of experience working in higher education to Cornell! Dedicated to fostering healthy communities of belonging, Elizabeth is passionate about translating radical community care into structural, sustainable support for students. She is currently earning her PhD in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, where her research focuses on building transformative gender-based violence prevention efforts on university campuses utilizing bell hooks' concept of a "love ethic" as a foundation.
When not working, you will almost always find her with a coffee in hand, spending time with her dogs. She is an avid reader of feminist literature and fantasy books. She also enjoys painting, cooking, baking, and is looking forward to taking her paddleboard out on the Finger Lakes.
