Organizations

  1. The First Generation Student Union (FGSU) is a student-run organization that works collectively to foster an inclusive community for first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students. FGSU is committed to making sure FGLI Cornellians find a true sense of belonging through student-led programming and collaborations with campus partners. Because students with Undocumented/DACA status are often first-generation and/or low-income, FGSU is a great student organization to join.
  2. The DREAM Team is a student-run organization that works closely with the Associate Director for Undocumented and DACA student support to advocate for the undocumented and DACA students at Cornell. The DREAM Team develops programs to bring awareness, build community, celebrate accomplishments, and develop a sense of belonging through collaborations with campus partners.

Faculty/Staff

We offer several workshops and training focused on undocumented and DACA student needs. Faculty/Staff are invited to partner with us to lead any relevant workshop of interest. Please contact FGLIempowerment@cornell.edu for more information.

Alumni

If you are an alumni interested in joining our developing FGLI Alumni network, please contact Victor Cuicahua at vc356@cornell.edu.
