Alyssa Talvi
Associate Director, Tatkon Center for New Students
Alyssa joined the Tatkon Center for New Students in February 2024. Prior to Cornell, Alyssa served as the Assistant Director for New Student Programs at Binghamton University, where she coordinated the new student Orientation program. She has had a passion for working with incoming students since her tenure as an Orientation Leader during her undergraduate experience. Alyssa attended SUNY Oneonta, where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and went on to earn a M.S in Student Affairs Administration from Binghamton University. Alyssa is also an active member of NODA, the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education; she serves on the Region IX Regional Leadership Team, Co-Hosted the 2023 Region IX Conference, and serves on the 2024 Regional Conference Planning Committee. When not at work, Alyssa loves all things true crime, playing with her two cats, and reading. She is excited to join the Cornell community and can’t wait to meet and work with our newest students!
