Tina Hunt is the Wellness and Fitness Specialist with Cornell Wellness. She earned her B.S. degree in Clinical Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength Training and Conditioning from Ithaca College, and her M.S. degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University – Bloomington. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, holds the Exercise is Medicine credential from the American College of Sports Medicine, is certified in the Functional Movement Systems movement screening, and holds her 200-hour yoga teaching certificate as well as the Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification from the American Council on Exercise. Tina comes to Cornell Wellness with over 15 years of experience in personal training, group exercise instruction, and wellness program design. A passionate movement educator, Tina uses her knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy and human movement, paired with her extensive experience to foster connection with people to empower them toward achieving their goals, providing them the foundation and tools from which they are able to pursue and achieve those goals, no matter what they may be. She believes that small steps lead to sustainable changes, which ultimately leads to big-picture goal achievement and continual progress. Formerly highly competitive in triathlon, cycling, and running, Tina now enjoys dabbling in events here-and-there, maintaining a strength training routine and yoga practice, and taking walks with her boyfriend and their two Australian Shepherds.
