Reserve an Exam Room

Students may reserve a room on campus in order to take a remotely proctored graduate admissions exam, such as the LSAT, GRE, or GMAT.  If you would like to book a room, please review the instructions below and contact your college’s career office with any questions.

Each exam provider establishes their own guidelines for testing space, so make sure to review those requirements before booking a room.  In general, rooms suitable for remote testing meet the following characteristics:

  • Private – rooms should be away from busy common areas and closed to through-traffic
  • Enclosed – rooms should not have any glass walls or doors
  • Small – conference and meeting rooms are more likely than larger classrooms to have large tables suitable for testing

Plan to submit your reservation requests as soon as possible and no later than one week before the scheduled exam. Last minute requests may not be approved in time. If you have not received confirmation five days prior to the exam, contact Jennifer Lovell (jll346@cornell.edu) in the Scheduling@Cornell office.

Reserving a Room for a Particular Exam Period

Follow the steps below:

  1. Visit scheduling.cornell.edu and click the “Log In to Scheduling@Cornell” button to access 25Live.
  2. Once you’ve logged in, select “25Live Pro” at the top of the screen.
  3. Select “I know WHEN my event should take place – help me find a location!
  4. Enter the exam date, time, and number of attendees (1).
    1. It is strongly recommended to include a substantial buffer (at least one hour) on either side of the scheduled time to allow for setup, breaks, and any technical issues.
  5. Choose a location for your search.  “Central” is recommended, as most classrooms and meeting rooms are located on central campus.
  6. Click “Show me what’s available!”
  7. Explore the list of results for an available space. If your request is for Monday-Friday 4:30pm or later or for weekends, see the “Recommended Rooms” section below.  You can click on an entry to see more details about it, including pictures if they are available.  If pictures are unavailable, it is recommended that you visit the room in person to confirm that it meets your needs.
  8. Once you’ve identified a room, click “Use This Location,” and complete the event request form that follows.
    1. Event Name: [EXAM NAME] Testing Space – Student Name (e.g. LSAT Testing Space – Ezra Cornell)
    2. Primary Organization: Cornell Career Srvcs-SCL
    3. Event In-Depth Details: “This room reservation has been made to provide [STUDENT NAME] a quiet place on campus to take the [EXAM NAME]. Please contact Kristine Goggan (kmk44@cornell.edu) in Cornell Career Services with any questions.”
  9. Select “Save” at the bottom of the page.

On the day of your exam, you should plan to:

  1. Arrive early to confirm that the space is available and to allow plenty of time for set up.
  2. Post a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the outside of the door. A pre-made sign is available for download.
