Tatiyana Ross

Residence Hall Director (RHD)

Tatiyana Ross is originally from Staten Island, New York. For the past two years, she has had the pleasure of serving as the Residence Hall Director for Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hall at Cornell. In this role, Tatiyana supports first-year students as they transition into college life—whether it is through one-on-one conversations, weekly community programming, or collaborating with RBG’s amazing Student Leader Team to meet the evolving needs of the residents.

One of Tatiyana’s favorite parts of the RBG community is the Crunch and Munch program, a weekly event designed to bring students, Resident Advisors (RAs), Hall Council members, and faculty together for a study break, a snack, and a chance to connect with one another. This weekly program is a small, but meaningful way that RBG builds community and encourages balance during busy academic weeks.

Before coming to Cornell, Tatiyana earned her Masters of Teacher Education in Student Affairs and Higher Education from University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG). During graduate school, she wore many hats—Social Justice Education and Advocacy, LGBTQ+ Outreach and Advocacy, and a marketing relations liaison for Chi Sigma Alpha —all of which deepened her passion for student support and development.

Outside of work, Tatiyana enjoys listening to true crime content (e.g., podcasts, documentaries, books, etc.), baking, painting, fashion, and exploring new music. If you see her around campus, feel free to say hi—Tatiyana is always up for a good conversation!
