The student-run group Ring of Steel combines theater, choreography, and martial arts to train Cornell students in stage combat using replica swords, staffs, and lightsabers while building a strong sense of creativity, performance, and community.

Cornell is launching the Cornell Career Network, a new university-wide model designed to make career development more connected, accessible, and integrated into the student experience. By uniting career offices across colleges under a shared network, the initiative aims to help students explore opportunities earlier, navigate resources more easily, and build confidence for lifelong success.

Black Student Empowerment received the 30th annual James A. Perkins Prize for Interracial and Intercultural Peace and Harmony at an April 20 ceremony in Willard Straight Hall.

It's an annual opportunity for the best and brightest of collegiate culinarians to show off their creativity. Each year the schools named to the Princeton Review Best Campus Food ranking send representatives to Amherst for a showcase dinner at the University of Massachusetts.

Eight teams played six games over three days, and we talked to the many partners who helped coordinate the event so we could do justice to the scale of this collaborative accomplishment.

Cornell Dining launched a Kick the Cup campaign in February, giving all of our coffee shops and cafés a chance to compete against each other to see which outlet could most effectively promote our Beverage Rewards Program and thus most increase its percentage of sales of drinks in reusable mugs.

Cornell Dining marked the 25th anniversary this month of Amit Bhatia Libe Café, one of our flagship coffee shops centrally located off the lobby of Olin Library.

Four familiar faces from Cornell women’s hockey will compete on the sport’s biggest stage at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Brianne Jenner ’15 and Kristin O’Neill ’20 will skate for Canada, Laura Fortino ’13 will represent host nation Italy, and Rory Guilday ’25 will make history as the first Big Red alumna to play for the U.S. Olympic women’s hockey team.
