Jess has been working at Cornell since August 2021 and has been in higher education and student affairs in some capacity since 2016. She holds an M.A. in Higher Education Administration, as well as a B.S. in criminal justice and sociology. 

In her role as an RHD, Jess supervises a team of Resident Advisors and oversees the Mews and Loving House Community. These communities’ goals are to foster an environment in which students are engaged, safe, and supported. This is made possible through community engagement, policy education, and collaboration with our campus partners.  

One of her favorite parts of her role is watching both students and RAs grow during her time working with them and seeing them adopt a sense of ownership and pride in their chosen communities (whether that be in Mews, or another organization on campus). Some of her hobbies include beachcombing/rockhounding, baking, paddleboarding, and crafting.
