National Student Employment Week

National Student Employment Week is celebrated the second week of April by colleges and universities to recognize the importance of student employees. 

Join the celebration on Cornell's campus April 7 - 11, 2025. 

On April 11, 2025, SCL will host an award ceremony to honor the recipients of five student employee awards, plus one supervisor award. Each student winner will be submitted for a chance to win a National Student Employment Award administered by the National Student Employment Association. The supervisor winner will be submitted to the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators.

Cornell Dining will also present the Brad Ginsburg ’13 Award for Outstanding Student Service at Cornell University plus the Outstanding Student Manager awards

Student Employee of the Year Award eligibility criteria: 

  • Nominee must be an undergraduate paid student employee within Student & Campus Life. 
  • Nominee must be enrolled full time for the spring 2025 term. 
  • Nomination must be submitted by a supervisor.

Supervisor of the Year Award eligibility criteria: 

  • Any supervisor of undergraduate student employees in Student & Campus Life. 
  • Nominations must be submitted by an undergraduate student employee.

All nominations are due by Friday Feb. 7, 2025. 


SCL Student Employee Support

The SCL Student Employee Experience office can assist with training supervisors of student employees as well as student employees. The office can also assist with reviewing your student employee organization, reviewing job descriptions, reviewing internal processes related to student employment.
