West Campus House Dinners
Wednesday House Dinners are a longstanding and beloved part of our West Campus community. Every Wednesday from 6-7pm, each of the five West Campus Houses gathers as a community, including all residents, staff, house fellows, guests-in-residence, and distinguished visitors. Together we share an upscale meal, specially prepared by our House Chefs and Cornell Dining teams, in a festive environment that often features musical performances, guest speakers, or other special events designed to complement House programs, community partnerships, or holidays.
Sharing these weekly meals builds community, cultivates belonging, and fosters connections among House members, the House Professor-Dean and Assistant Dean, our house fellows, and our graduate and undergraduate fellows (GRFs and URFs); it also provides an occasion for House leadership to introduce themselves, our house fellows, and distinguished visitors to the whole community, to share news and events, and to celebrate our community's recent accomplishments.
For these weekly House Dinners, the five West Campus House System dining rooms open at 6pm on Wednesdays, and each House welcomes its own residents, fellows, and invited guests. Our dining rooms reopen to others at 7pm, following each week's House Dinner, and we welcome non-residents to join us after that time, or choose another dining room on campus for their Wednesday dinner.
