Outreach, postering, and tabling policies and requests
As stated on Cornell's University Relations Resources web page, Cornell University is private property. Our goal is to ensure that students, staff, faculty, and visitors on Cornell University’s campus are able to carry out their activities with a reasonable expectation of privacy and normalcy.
Affixing posters or flyers to interior or exterior walls, windows, posts, or other fixtures of Cornell Dining eateries is not permitted at any time. Individuals or organizations will be responsible for any cleaning or repair costs associated with removing such unauthorized items. Flyers, cards, table tents, and other promotional materials may not be left on tables or counters in Cornell Dining eateries.
Recognized student organizations who are interested in tabling at Cornell Dining eateries are welcome to reach out to dining@cornell.edu with a request that identifies the organization and outlines your goal, such as awareness or fundraising, including what location you'd like to visit and when. Groups who are approved for such outreach must agree to these guidelines:
- No sales activity of any kind
- No materials may be left behind
- Identifying signage may be placed on the table. Nothing may be affixed to walls, windows, posts, etc.
- No photos or video recording of staff or guests
- Participants must remain at the table and may not approach guests
Groups will be contacted by Cornell Dining staff or unit managers to discuss your plans. Please submit your request at least one week before your proposed event!
Note: Tabling in some spaces on campus (such as outside certain eateries) will also require registration on Cornell's 25Live scheduling tool.
