Congratulations to the winning team in this week's Skills Buffet competition

Congratulations to the team of five Cornell Dining staff members that won today's Skills Buffet competition at Alice Cook House. The group participated and stood out with their culinary creations at the end of a two-day cooking skills workshop hosted by Chefs Bryan Roberts and Joshua Holden, and FSS Data Specialist Mark McHugh.

In addition to the two days of hands-on prepping and cooking for their buffet presentation, the group also participated in FSS Training, butchering chicken skills, and fresh pasta and sauce techniques.

The winning team was:

· Juan Oliver

The winning team created dishes based around the themed menu of a Fall day in Cuba, called "Harvest in Havana."

They prepared Cuban Braised Chicken, Grilled Butternut Squash, and a Mixed Grains and Vegetable Pilaf.
