Now One-Stop-Shop certified, Conference and Event Services can make event planning a smooth experience

"If you want to make things easy, use Cornell Conference Services," says Anthony Loinaz, the event coordinator for the Department of Computer Science in Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. That's because Conference and Event Services has been certified as a One Stop Shop by the Association of Collegiate Conferences and Events Directors – International (ACCED-I), reflecting CES's ability to provide a seamless and efficient event planning experience.
"Our goal is to serve as a single starting point for planning events at Cornell, where our team can manage everything from venue reservations and accommodations to transportation, catering coordination, and overall logistics—so you can stay focused on your program," explains Beth Sprankle, a conference and event planner with CES.
This approach ensures streamlined coordination with one contact, one contract, and one bill. "When I reach out to Beth, everything is handled seamlessly—almost like magic," says Kim A. Stockton, who organizes the Warrior Scholar Project at Cornell, of the process. "I simply outline what’s needed, sign the contract, and rarely need any follow-up. The process is efficient, effortless, and consistently exceeds my expectations."
"They take the burden off of us so that we can focus on what we need to do," Anthony agrees. His events have variously involved organizing of housing, dining, locations, registration, printed event materials, event staffing, rentals, catering, parking, and even gym passes. "Their staff is professional, friendly and go out of their way to provide exceptional care. We're glad to have them, and you will be, too."
"Having a single point of contact to manage all aspects of my residential program makes everything feel seamless and easy to navigate," says Cassidy Williams, manager, planning + outreach for the Foundation for Teaching Economics.
"Their clear communication and support give me confidence that the logistics are handled, allowing me to stay focused on creating a strong experience for my students," concludes Cassidy.
