Dish Machine Operator
Under regular supervision, the Dish Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of assigned dining units and their associated dishware through manual and machine cleaning methods.
Executive Chef of Operational Excellence
The Executive Chef of Operational Excellence is responsible for providing consistent support and leadership in the culinary program for a top university food service operation.
Under general supervision, the Cook (SO04) independently prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold foods for our customers through a variety of stations and service methods.
With the support of a Chef, the Cook (SO06) prepares a variety of standard and complex hot and cold food items including culinary specialties as assigned by management, for service in Meal Plan Operations, House Dining, cash, catering, and special events.
Food Service Worker
Under close supervision, the Food Service Worker, prepares and serves a variety of cold food items and beverages for our customers through a variety of stations and service methods.
Lead Food Service Worker
Under general supervision, the Lead Food Service Worker will serve as a role model for the team by assisting with the preparation, delivery, and presentation of food items as well as coordinates work assignments, monitors food productions, and assists with operating the register in a variety of Dining unit(s).
Retail Dining Manager
The Retail Dining Manager in collaboration with a Sr. Retail/Dining Manager, will be responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience and a strong financial contribution of assigned retail or all-you-care-to-eat dining unit(s) by providing regular oversight of product and presentation, staff training and development, as well as food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance.
Senior Retail Dining Manager
The Senior Retail Dining Manager reporting to an Operations or General Manager, will display strong leadership to ensure a memorable dining experience and a strong financial contribution of assigned retail dining unit(s).
The Chef works in direct support of the area Operations or General Manager overseeing culinary operations for their assigned unit(s), which may include retail, all-you-care-to-eat, or catering business.
Part-Time/Casual Dining Workers
All immediate positions are part-time casual (19 hours per week or less), non-benefits eligible. Hours and schedules are flexible and can include nights and weekends.
Cornell Dining includes more than 30 on-campus eateries, including multiple all-access dining rooms, cafés, coffee shops, food courts, retail convenience stores, concessions stands, a restaurant and catering services. As we open a new café and dining room, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with new hire start dates around August 2, 2021. Cornell Catering is currently hiring servers and bartenders to fill immediate needs! We are looking for highly motivated, outgoing, polite, engaged, service-minded individuals who care about where they work and the reputation it develops. All positions are 19 hours per week or less.
Sales Manager, Cornell Catering
The Sales Manager supports the catering sales process and client support for university social events, student organizations, conferences, and wedding events in a catering operation that exceeds $1 Million in sales revenue. This position serves as the first point of contact for events ranging from 50 to 500 guests and is critical in ensuring that client business is retained. Additionally, this role will support the development of new business in assigned markets through regular sales activity. The Sales Manager helps to ensure that all client expectations are consistently met by working closely with the catering team and attending large and complex events and to ensure successful execution.
Senior Sales Manager, Cornell Catering
The Senior Sales Manager leads and manages all sales operations and development activities for a catering operation that exceeds $1 Million in sales revenue. This position plays a critical role in managing and retaining high-profile VIP client accounts as well as developing creative sales strategies for cultivating new business that’s focused on consumer satisfaction and overall revenue generation for Cornell Catering through the management and support of a sales team. This Senior Sales Manager ensures that all client expectations are consistently met through developing sales standards and efficiencies and working closely with the Catering team on food cost, pricing, menu development, and overall execution including assisting with events as appropriate.
