About Us

Cornell Career Services (CCS) is part of Cornell's Division of Student and Campus Life. We offer services in Barnes Hall open to all undergraduates plus many graduate students and alumni, as well as services distributed in each undergraduate college, to meet the diverse needs of the Cornell student population. Students in the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Law School, and College of Veterinary Medicine are served by their independent career offices.

Career Development Wheel

When you think about "career services," you may think first about resumes, career fairs, and jobs after graduation. Yes, we help with all of those things; what you may not know is that this is in the context of supporting you in an ongoing career-development process to discover what's possible for your life after Cornell. Our staff members are eager to work with you throughout your time at Cornell to discover your skills and interests; identify related career options to pursue; gain confidence to present your unique qualities in resumes, cover letters, interviews, personal statements, etc.; and create a plan to work toward your desired career path.

Our specific services fall into the categories of career exploration, graduate and professional school advising and preparation, legal careers, internship and full-time job searches, fellowships, and specialized advising needs. We provide many resources in our libraries (online and in Barnes Hall), throughout this site, and in the Career Development Toolkit in Canvas.

So whether you're sure of what you want to do after you leave Cornell, or are just beginning to think about what lies ahead, there's something for you in CCS. Visit us soon and often so that you can take control of your future.
